Thanks – Today is Thursday Nov. 25/11

Gary Drives me to the Loop so I can photograph St Peters but it is closed (as J.D. mentioned early he thought it might be on Thanksgiving) .

Gary gives me a brief driving tour of Chicago –beautiful homes and drops me off in Boys town so I can walk to Wrigley field – how great it is to see a neighborhood baseball stadium with bleacher stands on the neighborhood rooftops across the streets from the old-style stadium – so cool.

I stand at a bus-stop  for the bus to Anderson-ville – bus driver pulls over to let me know this is only an after-game bus-stop but she won’t leave me stranded here and picks me up… how cool are these Chicago bus drivers? The best – take pride Chicago Bus Drivers, take pride!

Nothing really to shoot but I stop into a shoe store and buy two pair of new shoes – what a difference – these are the best shoes I have had in years!!! I have difficult feet to shoe unless custom made… these both are great – Keen http://www.onlineshoes.com/mens-keen-finlay-nutcase-p_id214237 and Merrel boots. http://www.onlineshoes.com/mens-merrell-world-guide-waterproof-espresso-p_id225450?adtrack=froogle&term=Men%27s+Merrell+World+Guide+Waterproof&offer=&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=267199

I wear the Keen Finlays out and what a difference walking is… the hiking boots were killing my feet and hips, I am sure adding to my lower back pain too… they will be left in a trash bin in Chicago: R.I.P. REI hiking boots – you served me well for three years in Steamboat Springs, New York, Chicago, France, Czech Republic, Czech Republic, Jerusalem…

Thanksgiving dinner at friends of Gary and J.D. – members of Atonement. Wild bunch, indeed! I gorge… this trip will be the first I return from weighing more than when I left… Chicago is seeing a lot of food and drinking! And it started in Krakow!!! This is a different sort of Pilgrimage this trip.
