Plant. 7/18/10, Albuquerque, NM

It is Sunday. I opt not to go with Brian to Calvary Alb at 7am but will be there to work on the FBA site at Solomon’s Porch around 10:30 am.

We leave at 2pm and EVERYONE NAPS.

An early dinner on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Brian and I leave for San Dimas Indian Resort to see Robert Plant in Concert – he is touring with his Band of Joy promoting his new album to be released in September.

It rains – there is thunder and lightning – people sit in plastic bags. The show starts an hour and fifteen minutes late but it is a good show. Country Gospel – a lot of Jesus [such as this flavorful Gospel Spiritual Zep tune: "Nobody's Fault But Mine" duet with Patti Griffin [leads into Satan your Kingdom Must Come Down] – like a revival)- even the Led Zeppelin songs take on the Americana flavor for a good overall integrity. I nearly recorded the entire show on my iPhone…(movies) but the visual is sub par – the sound is terrific and will serve a good reminder of a pleasantly surprising evening – culminating in a great four song encore (including Thank You, Rock and Roll, and an a capella¬† Goodnight. Much of his Memphis show is on You Tube and the playlist can be found here:
